A large proportion of AlphaPlus’ work is undertaken in partnership with other organisations – for example, technology providers, subject specialists and programme management companies.

Two AlphaPlus partnerships warrant special mention here.

Firstly, almost every project we run involves contribution from our full time staff, and from our associates. Our associates provide both project capacity and specialist expertise on a subcontract basis. We maintain a database of around 400 specialist educational associates, and we rely on them to undertake large parts of our work. We have formal processes for engaging, managing and evaluating associate team members, and they form a critical part of the AlphaPlus infrastructure.

AlphaPlus collaborates internationally with City & Guilds on global skills development projects. We provide City & Guilds with a trusted partner to help deliver complex or custom programmes which differ from standard certification processes. We have delivered numerous projects together including major reforms to national vocational certification programmes.

We are educationalists with a strong commitment to improving teaching, learning and assessment, based on intellectual integrity, sound evidence and innovative approaches.

Dependable and loyal

We are committed to being a dependable, accountable, honest and loyal partner for our clients.

We are committed to enabling our clients to perform well by being reasonable, flexible and responsive, and by helping them to deliver consistent value.

Supporting colleagues

We are diligent, resilient and committed to building a successful education consultancy for our staff.

We are committed to the improvement of our staff, both to promote the long-term development of our business and as an end in itself: we believe in the value of education for all.

We ensure our teams consist of genuine sector experts with understanding in breadth and depth of both the theory and the practical complex everyday challenges faced by education providers.

We manage projects effectively and to the highest quality, freeing up the experts to concentrate on their specialism, but ensuring that activities are managed to meet expectations. This means only making promises that we know we can keep, and remembering the promises we have made to make sure we deliver.

We work in partnership with our clients. This is more than a cliché for us: we care about the services we provide and the impact they have on learners. Experience has shown us that the best impact our work can have is when it is undertaken alongside our clients so we make partnership a key feature of our project approach and management method.

At AlphaPlus, responsible and ethical practices form a key part of our business strategy, which is why we have decided to join the United Nations Global Compact. In an increasingly globalised marketplace, we are all aware of the importance of good corporate citizenship and of the role that companies of all sizes play in building a more sustainable and inclusive global economy.
