We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join our assessment development team as Deputy Director of Assessment.

The Deputy Director of Assessment will be a specialist in assessment research and development with a line report to the Director of Assessment. The postholder will support the Director of Assessment in overseeing and managing AlphaPlus’ assessment research and development services and reporting to the Board on those services.

Eligible applicants will possess a master’s degree or higher in a related area and possess strong project management skills, eg PRINCE 2, MSP or other methods. They will be creative and innovative in approaching the winning of new work and have a successful track record over a minimum of 5 years of working in the education sector in the UK and overseas, contributing to strategic vision and business planning. They will also have at least 3 years’ professional experience and a demonstrable track record in the design, development and delivery of assessments.

The role is full time, Monday to Friday, based in our head office in Castlefield, Manchester. It will involve national and international travel, working in company and customer offices. Benefits include 25 days’ holiday entitlement plus statutory holidays, a bonus scheme and pension scheme.
