Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 depending on qualifications and experience

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join our qualifications and technology team in the role of assessment implementation architect. This is a new role within the company.
AlphaPlus is an education service business specialising in standards, assessment and certification. We help our clients design, develop, deploy and evaluate qualifications and their underpinning assessments. Our work spans the public and private sectors, schools, colleges, vocational and professional learning. Around half our work is overseas. We have a core team of 39 staff primarily based in our Manchester head office, and in addition draw upon a team of approximately 400 associates.
This role is suitable for a person from an awarding organisation or similar background, with experience of working in technology-based assessment-related services, and who wants to expand their experience in a fast moving and dynamic organisation. The postholder will report to the Director of Qualifications and Standards with functional reporting to the Director of Assessment. They will work closely with the technical architect, assessment team and project directors.
The assessment implementation architect will gain a full understanding of assessment implementation requirements in a technical environment. Tasks will include:
- a substantial demonstrable track record of project and product/service development, management and delivery.
- experience of technology-based assessment related services, or similar.
- at least a basic understanding of assessment.
The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, and is Manchester-based. Successful candidates who live far from Manchester may be offered a relocation package in accordance with HMRC rules. The company is currently operating a Covid hybrid working policy (two days a week minimum in the office, and three days working at home). As the pandemic hopefully recedes, it is likely that we will have more time in the office, but substantial flexibility and hybrid working will remain our policy and approach.
