Salary: £58,000 – £65,000 depending on experience

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join our assessment development team as Deputy Director of Assessment, due to the internal promotion of the current postholder.
- designing assessments to meet customer needs
- managing the production, trialling and marking of assessments
- training clients on the fundamentals of assessment and how to write items.
The post allows incumbents to work on designing, developing and delivering assessments for a wide variety of projects for different types of clients and assessments such as professional competency and licence to practice qualifications, publisher tests, public exam board qualifications, and government tests with UK and international clients.. Some projects are from cradle to grave so you will work on all aspects of the assessment process, others involve just the design and development of the assessments. Some assessments are paper-based and some are on-screen using a variety of platforms, including cutting edge adaptive assessments.
Eligible applicants will possess:
- a master’s degree or higher in a related area or significant relevant experience
- strong project management skills, eg PRINCE 2, MSP or other methods
- a creative and innovative approach to assessment design and development and the winning of new work
- a successful track record over a minimum of 5 years of working in the education sector in the UK and/or overseas, contributing to strategic vision and business planning
- at least 3 years’ professional experience and a demonstrable track record in the design, development and delivery of assessments.
